2014 In Review
2014 was an exciting year for 4x4, both on the management and marketing side. Management client Mikey Wax signed a worldwide recording contract with Toucan Cove/Universal Music. His single "You Lift Me Up" just passed 4 million Spotify streams, and was featured by iTunes as "Ahead Of The Curve". Wax's label debut album, released in June, hit the iTunes top 100 pop albums chart, and was supported by multiple tours, including 50+ dates opening for acts such as Parachute, Matt Wertz, Tyler Ward, Brendan James, and Honor By August. Mikey and the album have received fantastic write-ups on numerous publications including the Huffington Post, Guitar World, and PopCrush, among others. Chicago's Windy City Times calls his live show, "nothing short of heaven-bound". His music continues to be featured on popular TV shows, and by reputable organizations, including a placement on ABC Family's Switched At Birth, American Airlines in-flight entertainment, RIT University's recruitment commercial, and SMULE - a mobile app with 15 million active users. In the past 6 months, Wax's social media has grown by 110,000 fans across all platforms, and he has received over 500,000 unique YouTube views. Wax and the label plan to carry this momentum into the new year, where they will be impacting mediabase HOT A/C radio with Mikey's single "Only One", as well as booking a nation-wide headlining tour for March, 2015.
On the marketing end, 2014 marketing clients are building fantastic momentum of their own. They have attained over 200,000 combined Twitter followers, 75,000 combined Instagram followers, and 100,000+ combined YouTube views. These numbers have contributed to exciting opportunities including write-ups in reputable publications, invitations to support nation-wide tours, agency representation, TV placements, radio airplay, and more...
Marketing client Olivia Millerschin was a semi-finalist on the popular show America's Got Talent. Her long stance as a contestant won her an invitation to perform at the Detroit Thanksgiving Day Parade, which aired on the regional television station WDIV. She has toured nationally with Teddy Geiger, Tyler Hilton, Howie Day, and Ryan Cabrera, and was the winner of the 2014 John Lennon Songwriting “Love Songs” Contest for her original, “Screw Valentine’s Day”
Marketing client Ryan Aderrey's single "A Miracle, My Love" peaked at #33 on the Billboard Indicator Chart and is receiving radio airplay overseas. Ryan also won Alternative Artist of the Year at the Hollywood Music in Media awards.
Marketing client Shayna Leigh's album debuted at #2 on the Amazon Hot New Releases chart, and was supported by a tour opening for the popular rock band Sister Hazel.
Marketing client Todd Carey just finished up a national tour supporting O-Town. His single "Nintendo" is starting to gain radio airplay on mediabase Top-40 stations across the country.
